Guests, Inc. Managed Hotel Receives Award

Guests, Inc., Strasburg, VA – Guests, Inc., a locally owned and based hospitality management company is pleased to announce that one of the hotels in their portfolio of fifteen was recently recognized as an “Outstanding Business”.

The Yorktowne Hotel, of York PA, under the guidance of Guests, Inc. since February of 2007, was honored by Downtown, Inc. during the August 21st event “An Essential Piece”.  The 2008 Downtown First Awards recognizes local businesses, organizations and individuals who champion the York downtown experience.

 The community nominated those worthy of recognition and The Yorktowne Hotel was one of seven awarded out of 35 nominees. 

The Central Penn Business Journal in their August  publication noted that “The Yorktowne Hotel was named the best company with more than 30 employees, two years after the hotel was sold by its longtime owners.”  The article continued on to quote hotel general manager Mark Clossey that "The organization has been very much committed to the success of downtown…adding it was an honor to be embraced by the community.”

Guests, Inc. credits the experienced leadership of Mark Clossey as greatly contributing to the success, since it’s acquisition of the property in 2007, in bringing the hotel to it’s current level of impressive service and quality experience.  “Mark is truly a people person.  From the comments we receive from guests staying in the hotel to this award, Mark’s personal approach is always on display and is second to none” says Tim Garner, Regional Director of Operations of Guests, Inc.
